Daniel F. Fitzgerald III

Daniel F. Fitzgerald III has trained more than 2,000 professional home improvement contractors across six countries, helping them become leaders in their field. He has delivered presentations at numerous seminars for home inspectors and real estate professionals throughout North America, covering topics such as advancements in marketing technology, entrepreneurship, business growth, and the home improvement sector. Dan is an author, motivational speaker, corporate trainer, and serial entrepreneur. He operates several companies of his own, along with an accredited nonprofit organization he founded to support young entrepreneurs in launching businesses and pursuing the American Dream.

For 17 years, Dan served as Chief Marketing Officer and Director of Marketing for Basement Systems Inc., the largest international network of basement, crawl space, foundation repair, and home energy contractors. During his tenure, he built a 55-person internet marketing team, a 7-person multimedia video production studio, and an 8-person international call center. From the early stages, Dan developed the network’s corporate identity and directed the creation of all marketing collateral, advertising campaigns, sales materials, and digital assets used by more than 350 authorized dealers in six countries.

In 2009, Dan played a key role in launching the Dr. Energy Saver International Dealer Network. He helped establish the brand, along with its marketing and advertising strategies, and provided contractor training and support for companies entering the home performance industry. From 2005 through 2012, Dan received annual CT Innovation Prizes from the Connecticut Quality Improvement Award Partnership for marketing innovations designed to help home service businesses grow and increase profitability. He is also a principal at Central Station Marketing, a firm specializing in web development, online and offline lead generation, and marketing training for home service companies, based in Dallas, Texas.Dan Fitzgerald giving a lecture

Dan graduated with honors from Pratt Institute’s School of Art & Design in Brooklyn, New York, where he majored in Art Direction. Prior to joining Basement Systems, he founded and operated his own advertising agency in Black Rock and Stratford, Connecticut, for 12 years. During that time, he worked with clients including Cushman & Wakefield, Grubb & Ellis, William Pitt, AT&T, Pitney Bowes, U.S. Tobacco, as well as numerous regional banks, hedge funds, and other businesses. For over a decade, Dan served on the board of the Valley Chamber of Commerce and contributed to several organizations, including the Valley Community Board of Junior Achievement of Western Connecticut, the Advisory Board of The Parent Child Resource Center, and the Corporate Volunteer Council of the Valley United Way, where he chaired the Membership Committee.
